March marked the beginning of a new season for Casa Nissi. We reached an important milestone as we officially launched the Bring Them Home project. Seeing this vision move from planning and building into active ministry has been deeply meaningful.
At the beginning of March, I had the opportunity to attend the Bridge Conference through the European Freedom Network (EFN), a network of Christians working together for a world free from human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation.

The Bridge Conference was a powerful time of connection, collaboration, learning, and spiritual encouragement. Through workshops, speakers, and conversations with ministry leaders from across Europe, I was reminded that we are not alone in this work. For me personally, it was especially meaningful to meet others who share the same heart for women impacted by trafficking and exploitation.
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Hebrews 10:24-25 NIV
Over the past few months, Casa Nissi has welcomed visitors from many different countries. Some came to explore opportunities to join the work here in Medgidia, while others gathered with us for dinners, fellowship, and times of encouragement.
We also had the privilege of hosting overnight guests representing eight NGOs serving Romanian women impacted by trafficking and prostitution, including organizations from Germany, Switzerland, and other European countries. Among them were Romanian leaders and ministries with whom we are beginning new collaborations.
Many arrived as strangers but left as friends. We were also deeply encouraged to reconnect with longtime ministry partners who have faithfully stood with us for more than 12 years.
During these visits, we were able to share the vision and heart behind the ‘Bring Them Home’ project and introduce what Casa Nissi is becoming: a peaceful and beautiful place where women can find rest, healing, restoration, and hope for a new future.
These connections have opened doors into a new season of ministry, and we are grateful for the growing partnerships developing across Europe — especially in Romania, Germany, and Switzerland.

Recently, I experienced one of the most meaningful moments while spending the morning at the center with the mothers and teenage girls we serve. It was such a joy to witness the beautiful growth taking place in their lives and within the community at the center.
Together with guests from England, Romania, and Switzerland, we spent the morning in training and conversations about the risks of sex trafficking. It was a meaningful time filled with honest discussion, encouragement, prayer, and connection.
Moments like these remind us how important prevention, relationship, and hope are in this work. By creating safe spaces for learning and support, we believe we can help protect vulnerable young women and strengthen families and communities for the future.
What was special for me, was we had a day at the center, with our mom’s and teen girls. What a joy for me to see the beautiful growth at the center. We had a morning of training about sex trafficking risk, with prayer and great conversations!

Together with several of our international guests, we shared a very special morning with the leadership team from Bethlehem Church at Casa Nissi.
During our time together, our guests from Dignity shared about the reality facing many Romanian women working in legalized prostitution in Switzerland. In Zurich alone, they explained that a large percentage of the women in brothels are Romanian.
Through their outreach visits several times each week, they hear the personal stories of these women — stories often marked by poverty, broken families, exploitation, trauma, shame, and hopelessness. Behind the heavy makeup, high heels, and outward appearance are deeply wounded women longing for freedom, healing, and restoration. Many feel trapped, unable to imagine leaving that life and returning home to Romania.
As we listened, our hearts were deeply moved with compassion for these lost mothers, daughters, and sisters. The morning became a powerful time of worship and prayer as we dedicated Casa Nissi and the ‘Bring Them Home’ project to the Lord.
Now we move forward with great anticipation and faith, trusting God to guide the future of this ministry. Casa Nissi will be the first home of its kind in the Dobrogea region of southeastern Romania — a place created to welcome women home into safety, healing, and hope.

As March transitioned into April following the dedication of the project and a season filled with guests, visitors, and growing international collaboration, we were blessed by a hardworking team from Austria who came to serve at Casa Nissi.
For one week, Phillip, Ruth, their two teenage sons, and two members of their church worked tirelessly alongside us — despite a week filled with rain and muddy conditions. Together, we planted fruit trees, flowers, and bushes, beginning the process of bringing beauty and life to the outside spaces of Casa Nissi.
Their heart was not simply to create a garden, but to help build an environment that encourages healing, peace, and restoration. We envision these outdoor spaces becoming a place where the women who come to Casa Nissi can rest, reflect, and experience God’s presence in both physical and spiritual ways.
As the women learn the simple but powerful principles of sowing and reaping, we pray the garden will become a living picture of hope and new life. A quiet place where they can slow down and experience the goodness of God through all five senses — seeing beauty, hearing peace, smelling fresh growth, tasting what is cultivated, and feeling safe enough to heal.
