Birthday Celebration
I want to express my deepest gratitude for all the calls, messages, financial support and to those who were able to attend my 60th birthday celebration. It meant the world to me! I felt deeply loved and celebrated by friends and family across the globe. What a beautiful journey life has been — and how incredibly blessed I am to have such special people walking alongside me.
“It takes wisdom to build a house, and understanding to set it on a firm foundation; It takes knowledge to furnish its rooms with fine furniture and beautiful draperies. It’s better to be wise than strong; intelligence outranks muscle any day. Strategic planning is the key to warfare; to win, you need a lot of good counsel.”
Proverbs 24:3-6 MSG
God always exceeds our expectations!
When I first started this journey 15 years ago—dreaming of building a house for victims of trafficking—I had no idea what the end result would look like. I only had a seed of vision planted in my heart. I couldn’t imagine just how beautiful this “house” would become.
As I walked out this journey, step by step, I made countless decisions—choosing lights, tiles, flooring, toilets, tubs, sinks, faucets—all the pieces needed to construct a physical space. And yet, I had no real image of the final outcome. I was simply walking in faith.
Now, every time I walk through Casa Nissi, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude and awe. What began as a house has become a Home—a sacred, peaceful place filled with God’s presence. The path was long and often difficult, but looking back, the hardships have faded. What remains is beauty—pure and undeniable.
The vision God gave me is now in full bloom, radiating His glory. You can feel His peace and anointing resting on this Home.
To God be all the glory!
Perpetrators of human trafficking span all racial, ethnic, and gender demographics and are as diverse as survivors. Some use their privilege, wealth, and power as a means of control while others experience the same socio-economic oppression as their victims. They include individuals, business owners, members of a gang or network, parents or family members of victims, intimate partners, owners of farms or restaurants, and powerful corporate executives and government representatives.
Exterior Update: Stucco, Sweat & Summer Progress!
As soon as I returned to Romania, the team jumped right into action—starting on the final coat of stucco for Casa Nissi. One week. Six guys. And just like that… done! Easy, right?
Well, not exactly.
These men slept at the church on the property and worked from 5 a.m. to nearly 10 p.m. each day during the hottest week of the year! I made sure they had snacks, cold water, and a hearty lunch daily to keep them going. Their commitment was incredible, and I’m so thankful for their hard work.
I’m also praying that the stucco and window sills they installed will finally solve the issue of leaks from the windows into the house.
A huge thank you to everyone who gave birthday gifts—your generosity was a tremendous blessing and made it possible to finish this phase!
Things are shifting—and quickly! In April, I attended the European Freedom Network conference and connected with some incredible people who share the same heart for justice and restoration.
Since then, I’ve had several meaningful online meetings, including with a team from World Without Orphans. Together, we’ve been planning and strategizing with a passionate group from the Republic of Moldova. This October, we’ll meet in person for roundtable discussions on how we can collaborate in the fight against trafficking.
The trafficking landscape is constantly evolving. In Moldova, legislation changes are closing orphanages and shifting children into foster care—a transition that, while hopeful in some ways, opens up new vulnerabilities. At the same time, the ongoing war in Ukraine continues to put countless girls at risk of being trafficked across borders.
But amidst the challenges, God is opening doors.
After seven long years of construction, I’m so ready to devote myself fully to the vision God placed on my heart:
Bring Them Home.
This is more than a program—it’s a mission to rescue, restore, and rebuild the lives of trafficking survivors across Europe.
Thank you for standing with me in prayer, encouragement and support as we step into this next season.
Next Steps: Concrete, Landscapinng & A Big Finish!
With the heat still pressing in, we’re shifting our focus to:
We already have the rebar and wood for the concrete forms. A generous friend from Medgidia is donating rocks and sand, and we’ve got workers lined up—including someone bringing a tractor! The only piece missing? Concrete.
This is the final big construction project before we turn our full attention to building relationships and developing the “Bring Them Home” program.
Would you consider helping us finish strong?
Every gift brings us one step closer to transforming this land into a place of restoration and healing. Once this work is done, our focus shifts to the heart of our mission: Bringing Them Home.
Thank you for praying, giving, and walking this journey with us.
