Heating Installed!

I am excited to share this fantastic news!  We initiated the heating campaign and I am thrilled to announce that we raised enough funds to purchase the heating system. The installation started Monday, 21 October and is now completed. Praise God! Casa Nissi finally has heating!  I am so grateful for your generosity, it is a huge blessing for us now and in the future!

Weeds or Grass?!

So many spiritual truths for practical applications to our lives today. Jesus always told parables that related to the times he was living, but the Word of God comes alive, even for us today. 

When I first moved into the church 4 years ago, the land was full of weeds. Not grass, weeds! The ground was hard and the dirt lacked nutrients. Each week, I cut the weeds, planted flowers and a garden, but the first year, nothing was very profitable. The fruits from the garden were bitter and the harvest was insignificant and the WEEDS plentiful! After 4 years, I saw significant changes. The harvest of flowers and vegetables were fruitful and the weeds were turning to grass! The transformation is quite astounding! 

Last week when we had a bit of sunshine, I actually was cutting grass instead of weeds. Although, I did not plant many physical seeds to receive the harvest, there were plenty of seeds planted in the spiritual, through prayer, hope, faith, patience, giving and faithfulness, to name a few things. From the spiritual seeds, the harvest is ripe and plentiful in this season! The biggest fruit is Casa Nissi, a seed of faith now a reality! Each day  we continue to prepare the house in the physical for the spiritual harvest of the future! A beautiful place, where the anointing of God will rest and woman and girls can drink and eat from the table full of harvest from the seeds planted. We pray they will reap restoration, healing, miracles, prophecy, teaching and exhortation.  A place to sort through the weeds in their lives and the beautiful green grass from the pasture of our Shepherd who will guide and direct them for generations to come!  

Help Furnish Casa Nissi for Christmas

We are making steady progress in preparing CASA NISSI, and we need your help to make this refuge truly welcoming and functional. 

We are seeking sponsorship for various furnishings to complete the rooms at CASA NISSI. We have 4 bedrooms, 2 gathering (living) rooms and 3 bathrooms.  Your generous support can help us provide a comfortable, well-equipped environment for the girls who walk through our doors. Here are a few ways you can make a difference:

• Sponsor a Room: Help us furnish an entire room with essential furniture and decor.
• Sponsor Christmas Decorations:  Christmas tree, lights and ornaments.
• Furniture Sponsorship: Contribute to the purchase of items like beds, chairs, tables, and desks.
• Decor and Supplies: Provide funding for artwork, rugs, curtains, and other items that make the space feel like home.

Every contribution no matter the size brings us closer to creating a warm, supportive environment for those we serve.

Christmas Season

So, here we are, the holidays! So quickly the time flies! But I am so thankful to be living in Casa Nissi! It will be her first Christmas and Thanksgiving. As you know, already the Christmas stuff is on the shelves and it is hard to resist the temptation to buy the decorations. But all the time, my first thought, when walking in to the store is the Community Center. The last 14 years we have purchased thousands of gifts, I think I can safely say, for over a thousand of marginalized children, families and elderly! What a beautiful blessing and time it was over the years. If I am honest, I am having a bit of withdrawal!  It was so normal for me and now, no giving!?  Is it not who God created me to be, living in such a poor region of Romania and not to bless others during the holidays. Will you partner with me and help this Christmas with a project?

• Invite the young Leaders/Pastors from the church and their families for a nice meal at Casa Nissi with small gifts for their children.
• Make small gift bags with hygiene products and sweets for the prostitutes on the streets in our area.
• Bless the neighbors to Casa Nissi with homemade American cookies, breads and treats.
• Have a luncheon Christmas party with the ladies from the church in Tortomanu, with small gifts for each of them.

Although these things are not expensive and on the same scale as the center, it will be thoughtful, intentional and an intimate setting to bless others, share the love and celebrate the birth of Jesus.

Outside to Inside

The weather turned cold quickly this year and already we are below freezing at night. Which means it’s too cold to work on our big projects outside, so we have moved inside! We have been busy painting, organizing and preparing the girls rooms upstairs. In between the work times we have enjoyed some nice meals together with returning friends, teams and visitors from near and far! What a joy to serve God together! Come and visit us, we are waiting for you!
