OUR TEAM

The team that works daily with our kids are the real HEROs of our project. We have nine paid young, amazing Romanian people, from the local church, on our team. They are the ones who teach the kids, implement all activities, organize clothes and donations and help maintain our building. Our salaries are low and the work never ends and is very challenging. We can’t serve our kids and community without them. Please consider to support monthly our team’s monthly wages. They are vital to our programs existence.

OUR VISION

Stepping Stone Missions began as the vision of Cindy Getchman’s as she travelled to many different countries as a missionary. Her vision became a reality on January 1st 2009 when Stepping Stone Missions officially started operating as a 501 (c)3 corporation.

Cindy arrived in Medgidia, Romania with just 2 suitcases and a vision to feed kids. Years later she never dreamed that seed would produce so many fruits!

OUR PASSION

Stepping Stone Missions is passionate about changing the lives of families through the love of Christ, one step at a time.

Our current projects are based in communities in the region of Constanta, Romania. Our aim is to help communities, neighborhoods and individuals in crisis or need and bring physical, mental and spiritual growth.

OUR MISSION

Stepping Stone Missions is passionate about changing the lives of families. Our mission is to do this through Salvation, Family and Inheritance.

SALVATION

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,

to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion – to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.

They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor. They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been left devastated for generations.

ISAIAH 61:1-4

FAMILY

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.

This is why it says:

“When he ascended on high, he took many captives and gave gifts to his people.”

EPHESIANS 4:2-7

INHERITANCE

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

COLOSSIANS 3:23-24
